April Matthis is an award-winning actor who has worked extensively in the New York theater scene. She is a member of the groundbreaking experimental company Elevator Repair Service, most recently appearing in their production of Everyone’s Fine With Virginia Woolf. Other notable credits include productions at Signature Theater, Playwrights Horizons, Labyrinth, Lincoln Center, and Soho Rep. In the dance/Performance world, Ms. Matthis originated and toured with Ralph Lemon’s Scaffold Room. Film/TV credits include: Wendell and the Lemon, Black Card (YouTube), “Instinct” (CBS). April Matthis is a also recipient of an Obie Award for Sustained Excellence of Performance and Mabou Mines’ Ruth Makeczech Award.
